Our History
GARNACHA has traditionally been the second most planted grape variety in Rioja. It is locally known as La Maldita (The Accursed or Little Bad One), due to the difficulties it poses in making high quality wines and to its yields, so low that there is little profit for the grape grower. That is why many have opted for grubbing it up to replace it with other varieties. The wines of La Maldita aim to recover this Rioja heritage, proving that this is a great land for growing GARNACHA. To do this, we choose vineyards planted at higher altitudes in soils where this variety is expressed at its fullest. Learn More

Altitude 5,985 Feet
Alto Molino grows and harvest their grapes among the clouds at an elevation of 5,985 feet. One of the highest altitude vineyards in Argentina and possibly the world. This land was an early agricultural center of the Diaguita people that dates back to 860 AD. Our first planting here was a decade ago. The allure was simply fertile land and the abundance of pure water. The same attraction that motivated the founders of Alto Molino. Here they uncovered Calcium Carbonate stones with a rich Calcareous soils and perfect climate to produce world class wines.
Organic by Nature
Loscano Wines are grown in the high altitude of the Uco Valley, Mendoza
The snow-covered Andes Mountains frame the back drop of where Argentina has been producing wine since 1551. The grapes we grow, and the wine we produce are the finest in the world. The growing season offers the fruit a long hang time which matures the grapes with warm days and cool evenings. The soils are the secret behind our great wines. A loom clay soil which offers the right nutrients and perfect drainage. With only eight inches of rain per year, we rely heavily on the snow melt of the Andes. Delivered through a drip system which allows our viticulturists to control the proper stress to the plants. This practice of water conservation makes farming possible in high desert regions.
With centuries of agricultural experience, the native Mendoceneans have created an Oasis in a land that offers a near perfect growing region for wines. Argentina has become the 5th largest exporter and grape growing country in the world. Mother Nature delivers eighty-percent of what’s in the bottle, but the twenty- percent our wine makers add their viticulture knowledge and winemaker passion to produce wines that are memorable. On your visit to Argentina join us in our tasting room. Take a vineyard tour, meet the winemaker and relax in the beauty of the Andes with a glass of Loscano, Cheers!

Vintners Collections goal is to have a complete, complimentary portfolio of wines that don't directly compete against each other.
To secure our services on retainer, your winery must be able to support high end accounts without out-of-stock or other inventory lapses. Most accounts consider OOS a lost sale.
Most wineries are happy to host on-site winery tours, provide staff training, and supply tasting tools, including sample bottles. We know you're on board with education, so let's chat!
